: The Lawrence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College (CPSM), is a pre-college music program. The program is celebrating its 40th year of serving families in NYC and its surrounding communities. CPSM is dedicated to providing a comprehensive musical education to its students
Duties
: VIOLIN and CELLO instructor to teach private lessons and group classes as needed. If qualified, the potential to coach chamber music and/or teach musicianship classes. PIANO instructor to teach private lessons. Attend occasional faculty meetings and assist with recitals and festivals.
Qualifications
: Minimum of a BA or BM, preferably in performance or education, Master’s degree preferred. Some Suzuki training along with willingness to continue training. Teaching experience preferred. Must be committed to teaching, love children, be responsible and reliable and have good communication skills.
Salary
: Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
