Director – Training Development','1900001900','United States; The Boeing Company','United States; The Boeing Company','United States-Washington-Renton','','','','','','Flight/Flight Operations','No','No','Engineering Mods & Maintenance','Standard','Executive','Full-time','Day Job','Yes, 50 % of the Time','No. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit','No. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit','No Security Clearance Required','No Security Clearance Required','Jan 7, 2019','!*!Responsibilities include: Leading a large international team of over 100 employees responsible for creating and maintaining training materials required for Flight, Maintenance, and Air Crew Training products; coordinating with international airline, government, and business/general aviation customers to ensure aviation training courseware meets all professional requirements established by various national authorities, including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Administration (EASA), and customer operation; developing Aviation Training curriculum and courseware to meet training objectives that include entry-into-service (EIS) requirements for new aircraft models; participating in sales campaigns as a subject matter expert; leading Training and Professional Services activities to create go-forward strategies and strengthening functional excellence; maintaining comprehensive and efficient training courseware and curriculum capability in support of regional sales strategies and business objectives; supporting the Director of Flight Training on all matters relating to training courseware and curriculum; understanding and justifying current and future resource needs (staff, hardware, software, training devices, curriculum); driving all curriculum decision-making within Training Development; monitoring, assessing, and ensuring corrective actions are in place throughout the organization; developing and implementing innovative products and methodologies into the courseware using product/lifecycle management best practices; participating in industry groups; and, advocating for regulatory changes to allow new technologies/methodologies in aviation training. Up to 50% international travel to company locations and customers’ places of business required.','!*!Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mass Communication, Education, or related field and 7 years of work experience in curriculum and training design and instruction for flight training products. In addition, must have 7 years of experience with each of the following:

Courseware development, including entry-into-service of new aircraft/power plant courseware development;

Instructional system design;

Aerospace regulations;

Aviation training, including commercial airline training, defense/government aircraft training, business aviation training, and general aviation training;

International management; and,
